Pentagon Barrack Buildings - Baton Rouge, Louisiana
The sign in front of the barracks says, "The Pentagon Buildings - Were constructed during 1819-1822 to house U.S. troops. Used as a garrison from 1822-1877 except from 1861-62 when held by Confederates. From 1886-1925 these buildings and grounds were the site of Louisiana State University." For a slideshow click here.

Part of the National Rail-Trail Network, it is a scenic recreational corridor with a main paved trail, a parallel equestrian trail and other recreational facilities.
